Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) today said that the Combined Civil Services Examination (CSE) Mains-2016 will be held from 7 November 2017 as per the schedule already announced by the Commission. Refuting media reports that JKPSC is considering postponement of the exam, a spokesman of the Commission said there is no such proposal under consideration, as it will only lead to the wastage of precious time of the students and disruption of the whole selection process. The spokesman further said that JKPSC is working out a fixed calendar for conducting Combined Civil Services Examination in future to ensure time-bound selection. The Commission has sought the cooperation of the students, the civil society and the media in ensuring the timely conduct of the examination to safeguard the future of the aspirants.
